BLE Tags
BLE tags (bluetooth low energy) are an inexpensive way to track tools that are dropped off at a job site, and items around a warehouse. BLE tags don’t need a GPS or cell modem or a separate tracking subscription. BLE tags are read only when in range (approx. 250 ft) of a BLE-enabled GPS tracker or phone, which in turn transmits the tag location to the platform. For example, you’ll see BLE-tagged tools on a vehicle and where those tools were dropped off.

The LoRa (long range wifi) System is ideal for warehouses and yards.
Indoors – GPS or WiFi
Tracking indoor items is possible with battery powered GPS trackers where there is sufficient GPS and cell network signal strength available in the building.
Another method for tracking indoor items, such as medical equipment is to map (via an app) the existing WiFi transmitter locations in the building. With this method both the position on the floor and the floor level itself can be sent to the platform. Contact Btracking for more information.

Track Pallets with BLE Tags
- BLE Tags Work With GPS Trackers to Send Locations BLE Tags send locations by pairing with a nearby BLE-enabled GPS Tracker. When a tagged item comes within range of the Tracker (any Vehicle, Hybrid powered or Solar powered tracker with BLE), the tracker sends the item's location in real time. When the tag is out of range, the item's last location is displayed.
- Pickup/Dropoff Notifications You're notified when items are picked up or dropped off.
- Finding "Dropped Off" Items The items' "dropped off" location is displayed on the platform. If necessary, just home in on the dropped off item with a BLE locator phone app.
- Long Life Battery Tags are powered by watch batteries lasting about 3 years.

How does pallet tracking with GPS work?
