Telematics Gateways provide GPS tracking along with a host of additional features such as sensors for monitoring the vehicle, sensors for monitoring the climate in the cargo hold, driver communication with dispatch, HOS electronic logging, and more.
Sends GPS Location every 1 minute when moving, every 6 hours when stopped (customizable)
Accelerometer for Driver Behavior (sudden acceleration, sudden lane crossing, sharp turns, and sudden braking) and movement monitoring
Events Such As engine on/off, vibration alarm, tow detection, door open/close, impact detection are sent with a time stamp and GPS location
Automatic Driver ID Available with RFID card or iButton (Dallas key), and can be configured so that only authorized drivers can unlock or start the vehicle
BTPLUS I/O Digital Inputs – Three contact events: two ground sense and one 8VDC – 32VDC positive sense. Analog Inputs – one 0-5VDC. Digital Outputs – two open collector 500mA. Expansion: Add three digital inputs for a total of four ground sense and two positive sense. Add one analog input for a total of two Add RS-232 serial port for a total of two. The additional RS-232 port can support RS-485.
Battery Saving Mode auto switch to deep sleep mode when engine is turned off and auto wake up when engine is turned on or on vibration (this feature does not require backup battery)
Store and Forward Stores up to 5000 events when out of cellular coverage then send them automatically when back in cellular coverage
Starter Kill command can be sent to prevent starting vehicle (once vehicle is stopped and the ignition is turned off)
