GPS (Global Positioning Satellite network) and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) are highly cost-effective ways to track your vehicles and drivers – and the tools, cargo, equipment on board. Our hardware uses both systems for highly accurate, global coverage.
Trackers have a GPS/GNSS modem and a cell modem. Trackers use the GPS/GNSS networks to obtain location data about every 60 seconds or less when moving (less often when stopped), which the tracker transmits via wireless network to the mapping platform. Btracking trackers connect to the strongest local network, be it Verizon, T-Mobile AT&T or a local provider. And the data plan is always included!
Truck telematics revolutionize the way fleets operate by leveraging advanced technology to monitor and manage vehicles in real-time. Telematics Gateways provide GPS tracking along with a host of additional features such as wifi and BLE for integrated AI dashcams, sensors for monitoring the vehicle, sensors for monitoring the climate in the cargo hold, driver communication with dispatch, HOS electronic logging, Automatic Driver ID, and much more.
GPS tracking lets you see where everything is, right now. And where it’s been, where it stopped, and for how long. It also lets you monitor the health and status of your vehicles and the performance of your drivers with Driver Scoreboard.
If you’re looking to gain more control over your mobile assets, our fleet vehicle trackers will help your business get vehicles where they need to go in less time, safely and with less cost. In other words, more productivity, happier customers and a bigger bottom line.

FAQ’s for Trucks & Commercial Fleet Telematics
What types of trucks are compatible with Btracking’s fleet tracking system?
What types of trucks are compatible with Btracking’s fleet tracking system?
Btracking’s GPS tracker for trucks is compatible with Class 6–8 commercial vehicles and connects via the OBDII or J1939 port using a plug-and-play harness. It’s built to support long-haul trucks, box trucks, and vocational fleets requiring real-time diagnostics and driver safety monitoring.
What are the advantages of using a truck fleet tracking system?
Fleets using Btracking report up to 20% better vehicle utilization, 10% fuel savings, fewer maintenance issues, and improved driver accountability. The system offers powerful tools to reduce insurance costs, improve safety, and keep cargo secure in transit.
What vehicle and driver data does the truck GPS tracker collect?
The system captures GPS location, speed, engine diagnostics (DTC codes), harsh braking, idling, acceleration, and cornering data. It also integrates with AI dashcams, driver ID, and BLE sensors for a full view of driver behavior and vehicle health.
Can I identify and track individual drivers automatically?
Btracking’s automatic Driver ID system uses RFID or BLE fobs to detect who’s driving and logs that data to the platform. This improves driver accountability, prevents unauthorized use, and ties behavior metrics directly to the right driver.
Does Btracking's GPS tracker support dashcams and ELD devices?
Many of Btracking’s truck trackers include built-in WiFi for seamless integration with AI dashcams and HOS-compliant ELD tablets. The dashcam can capture unsafe events like lane drifting or distraction and upload footage for review.
